|Abstract:||This study investigated parents' role toward students' English learning at Bethany School, Salatiga. The purpose of this study was to discover and find out some potential difficulties which were faced by parents in supporting their children studying in an immersion program and the way of parents support their children in learning English as second language in immersion program. The subjects of this study were five parents of students at Bethany School, Salatiga. The data for the study were collected through several interview results. The analysis of the data shows that parents have difficulties in helping their children English proficiency such as understanding school materials lack of confidence in educating their children at home, lack of English proficiency and lack of understanding materials. Nonetheless, though the parents found difficulty in supporting their children English development, it was found that they tried to solve them by (1) facilitating their children with enough learning access such as English books and private tutors (2) guiding their study at home and (3) participating in their children learning at school.|
