Abstract: Larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit adalah salah satu materi dalam pelajaran kimia yang diajarkan di sekolah tingkat SMA kelas X semester 10. Larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit termasuk salah satu topik materi pelajaran kimia yang sulit karena materi tersebut memiliki karakteristik, antara lain membutuhkan kejelian dalam menyimpulkan gejala-gejala hantaran arus listrik dalam berbagai larutan, mengelompokkan larutan ke dalam larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit berdasarkan data hasil percobaan, kemudian mengelompokkan larutan elektrolit berdasarkan jenis ikatan. Dalam penelitian yang dilakukan,banyak siswa SMA yang merasa kesulitan memahami materi ini dikarenakan termasuk materi yang memerlukan pengujian untuk mencapai hasil akhir. Siswa juga dituntut menghafal banyaknya larutan sesuai jenis-jenisnya dalam pelajaran ini. Oleh karena itulah dibangun media pembelajaran berupa game edukasi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi Android dengan AndEngine untuk membantu siswa memahami materi ini. Jadi sambil bermain game siswa sekaligus menghafal jenis-jenis larutan dengan cara yang menyenangkan.
Electrolyte and non-electrolyte liquid is one of the materials in chemistry lessons taught in high schools at X grade, particularly around 10th semesters. Electrolyte and non electrolyte liquid is one of the difficult chemical topic matter among others since its has characteristics which foresight in concluding the symptoms of conducting variation of electrical liquids, grouping liquid to an electrolytes and non-electrolytes liquid based on experimental data, and then classifying electrolyte solutions based on the type of bonding. Through this study, most of the senior high school students find difficulties in understanding the topic because it is including requires testing material to achieve the final result. Besides that, Students are also required to memorize many solutions according to their types. Hence, by constructed a learning media educational game by utilizing Android with AndEngine, students are expected to get better understanding about the topic so while playing the game, they could also memorize the types of liquids in a fun way.
