Abstract: Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan prestasi belajar Matematika bagi peserta didik yang diberi Brain Gym dan tanpa diberi Brain Gym kepada 81 orang peserta didik kelas XI IPS SMA Kristen Terang Bangsa Semarang dan 81 orang peserta didik di kelas XI IPS SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga pada tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Tes matematika dilakukan sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) intervensi gerakan-gerakan Brain Gym diberikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan nilai rata-rata (Mean) posttest prestasi belajar matematika dengan pemberian Brain Gym di SMA Kristen Terang Bangsa Semarang 69,4880 lebih besar daripada nilai rata-rata (Mean) posttest prestasi belajar matematika tanpa pemberian Brain Gym di SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga 45,2089 (koefisien t = 50,819; p = 0.00 < 0,05). Kesimpulan hasil penelitian bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan prestasi belajar matematika dengan pemberian Brain Gym pada peserta didik kelas XI IPS di SMA Kristen Terang Bangsa Semarang dan tanpa pemberian Brain Gym di SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga.
This research aims to determine significant differences between student's achievement in Mathematics given the Brain Gym exercises and without the Brain Gym exercise. There are 81 students in 11th class of IPS at SMA Kristen Terang Bangsa in Semarang and 81 students in 11th class of IPS at SMA Kristen 1 in Salatiga in the academic year 2012 / 2013. The Mathematic examination is done before and after the intervention of Brain Gym movements are given. The results show that there is difference between the mean of the Mathematic examination result at SMA Kristen Terang Bangsa Semarang and SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga. The student at SMA Kristen Terang Bangsa Semarang were given the Brain Gym exercises while the student at SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga were not given the Brain Gym exercise. The mean of the Mathematic examination at SMA Kristen Terang Bangsa Semarang is 69.4880 at post test. The mean of the Mathematic examination at SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga is 45.2089 at post test (t - coefficient = 50,819; p = 0.00 < 0,05). The conclussion from the research indicates that there are significant differences of learning achievement in Mathematics by providing students the Brain Gym exercise in 11th class of IPS at SMA Kristen Terang Bangsa Semarang and without Brain Gym exercise at SMA Kristen 1 Salatiga.
