Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gratitude dengan psychological well being pada mahasiswa UKSW yang kuliah sambil bekerja full time.
This study aims to investigate the relationship between gratitude and psychological well being of full-time working students in Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW). The sample in this study was 31 full-time working students of UKSW, with ≥ 35 working hours per week and having financial matters as their main reason of working. Snowball sampling is used in this study. Measuring instrument used in this study refers to Ryff's 1989 Scale of Psychological Well Being (PWB) and Resentment Gratitude and Appreciation Test (Watkins et al., 2003). Pearson's Product Moment is used to calculate the correlation between gratitude and PWB, along with each of its dimensions. The results of this study indicate that there is: a significant positive relationship between gratitude and PWB (r = 0.507; p <0.05); a significant positive relationship between gratitude and purpose in life dimension (r = 0.487; p <0.05); a significant positive relationship between gratitude and self-acceptance dimension (r = 0.522; p <0.05); a significant positive relationship between gratitude and personal growth dimension (r = 0.521; p <0.05); a significant positive relationship between gratitude and environmental mastery (r = 0.457; p <0.05); a significant positive relationship between gratitude and positive relationship with others (r = 0.413; p <0.05); and no correlation between gratitude and autonomy dimension (r = 0.099; p > 0.05).
