Abstract: | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1)Menentukan hubungan iklim organisasi dan motivasi kerja dengan kepuasan kerja guru SMA Negeri dan Swasta di Batam; 2)Menentukan perbedaan kepuasan kerja ditinjau dari status kerja guru SMA Negeri dan Swasta di Batam; dan 3)Menentukan perbedaan kepuasan kerja ditinjau dari jenis kelamin guru SMA Negeri dan Swasta di Batam. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 293 guru di Batam yang terdiri dari 5 SMA Negeri dan 8 SMA Swasta. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tiga skala yaitu iklim organisasi, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja dengan menggunakan skala Likert (5 alternatif jawaban); sedangkan teknik sampling stratifikasi proporsional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1)Iklim organisasi dan motivasi kerja secara simultan berhubungan dengan kepuasan kerja guru SMA Negeri dan Swasta di Batam; 2)Tidak terdapat perbedaan kepuasan kerja antara guru SMA Negeri dan Swasta di Batam; 3)Tidak ada perbedaan kepuasan kerja antara guru laki-laki dan wanita pada SMA Negeri di Batam; sebaliknya ada perbedaan kepuasan kerja antara guru laki-laki dan wanita SMA Swasta di Batam. The aims in this study were to: 1)To determine the relationship of organizational climate and job motivation to the job satisfaction of public and private high school teachers in Batam; 2)To determine the differences in job satisfaction in terms of the working status of public and private high school teachers in Batam; and 3)To determine the differences in job satisfaction in terms of gender on public and private high school teachers in Batam. This study was conducted on 293 teachers from 5 public high school and 8 private high school in Batam. Data were collected using three measurement scales which are organizational climate, job motivation, and job satisfaction, respectively with five alternative answers (Likert); while the sampling technique using proportional stratification. The results showed that: 1)The organizational climate and job motivation are simultaneously dealing with teacher job satisfaction of both public and private high school in Batam; 2)There is no difference in job satisfaction between public and private school teachers in Batam; 3)There was no difference in job satisfaction between male and female teacher of high school in Batam; in contrary there are differences in job satisfaction between male teachers and female private school in Batam. |
