Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Reward dapat meningkatkan pemanfaatan Perpustakaan di SMA Negeri 1 Pringsurat. Secara teoritis diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan dan memperkaya kajian tentang upaya peningkatan perpustakaan sekolah. Jenis Penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawncara, observasi, studi dokumentasi. Validasi data menggunakan Triangulasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles and Huberman. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa prosentase rata-rata pemanfaatan perpustakaan pada keadaan awal 5.2% berada dalam kategori rendah. Tindakan siklus 1 yaitu memberikan reward berupa piagam penghargaan kepada siswa teraktif memanfaatkan perpustakaan sekolah, tindakan tersebut mampu meningkatkan pemanfaatan perpustakaan sekolah dengan prosentase 20.2% masuk dalam kategori rendah, namun belum sesuai dengan indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan. Tindakan siklus 2 dengan memberikan reward berupa piagam penghargaan dan alat tulis sekolah kepada 3 siswa teraktif memanfaatkan perpustakaan sekolah, tindakan tersebut mampu meningkatkan pemanfaatan perpustakaan sekolah dengan prosentase 53.6% masuk kategori sedang dan sudah mencapai indikator yang ditetapkan. Penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa reward dapat meningkatkan pemanfaatan perpustakaan sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Pringsurat.
Aim of this study was to determine whether or not reward could improve library utilization in SMA Negeri 1 Pringsurat. Theoretically this study may provide insights and enrich the improvement of school library. Type of research was School Action Research and techniques for this survey were collected through interview, observation, and documentation. Therefore, triangulation was used as data validation. Data analization used a model of Miles and Huberman. Result revealed that the average percentage of library utilization at the initial state was 5.2% and it was in the low category. Action cycle 1 was to give reward to the most active student with a plaque in utilizing the school library. Such action could improve the utilization of the school library with a percentage of 20.2% and still belonged to low category; not in accordance with the provisions of success indicators. However, action cycle 2 was to give reward to the three most active students with a plaque as well as school stationeries in utilizing the school library. Such action could improve the utilization of the school library with a percentage of 53.6% and it belonged to medium category; it also has reached the provisions of success indicators. This study concluded that using reward increased the utilization of the school library in SMA Negeri 1 Pringsurat.
