Abstract: Paper which entitled “An Analysis on Hannah’s Character development through Her Internal Conflicts in The House at The Briar Lake by Roxanne Rustand” is expected to show the relationship between internal conflicts faced by Hannah with her characteristics which existed in the novel. Internal conflict leads to the character development of Hannah. The writer is interested in the relationship between internal conflict and character development because something which influences human’s mind is the human’s mind itself, not the others. Considering the fact, the writer attempts to show the reader about internal conflicts faced by Hannah. The other, the writer wants to show the characteristics of Hannah before experiencing internal conflict and her characteristics after experiencing internal conflict. After solves those two cases, the writer wants to analyze the influences of internal conflict to the haracteristic of ten years old girl. From the discussion and analysis, the writer finds two internal conflicts that Hannah faces and some her character development after facing internal conflict. This analysis indicates that here is a character development inside Hannah after experiencing internal conflict.
