Abstract

Kota Salatiga dikenal sebagai kota transit pariwisata. Salah satu wujud dari kota transit adalah kegiatan wisata kuliner merupakan salah satu penopang sektor perekonomian dan pariwisata di wilayah Salatiga yang perlu dioptimalkan. Salah satu usaha untuk mengoptimalkan pemberdayaan ekonomi lokal adalah melakukan promosi. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi, semakin bertambah pula kemampuan komputer dalam membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan-permasalahan di berbagai bidang. Di antaranya sistem informasi berbasis Android yang berfungsi sebagai media informasi tempat-tempat wisata dan kuliner di kota Salatiga. Tentu hal ini akan lebih mempermudah para wisatawan untuk mendapatkan informasi dan lokasi-lokasinya. Aplikasi dapat di-download di masing-masing handphone berbasis Android kemudian di-install, dengan aplikasi ini akan membantu para pengunjung situs ataupun wisatawan lebih mudah mencari lokasi dan informasi tempat-tempat kuliner di kota Salatiga. aplikasi diharapkan bisa membantu memberi informasi yang jelas dan bisa memberikan lokasi tempat makanan berdasarkan fitur di dalam peta.
