Perancangan dan Implementasi Location Based Service pada Sistem Informasi Geografi Pariwisata Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya

Abstract

Southwest Sumba district is still fairly new. Incorporated in 2007 with an area of 1445.32 km2, located in the province of East Nusa Tenggara. This district has a tourist attraction that is large enough. There are a wide variety of tourist destinations are ready to soothe the eye. With the charm of nature, culture and history that has made this district so exotic to visit both foreign and domestic tourists. However, the level of tourist traffic in this district is still fairly small. Mostly just visited by domestic tourists or locals. The lack of information is indicated to be one cause of the decrease in tourist arrivals. No media marketing as a container sufficient information to reach thorough and detailed about the district in the tourism sector. Southwest Sumba government has made development in the field of tourism sector because given the importance of tourism as one part in the development of economic, social and cultural. The steps that need to be considered in the development of tourism sector set up a container such as a complete and up to date source of information, the provision of facilities and adequate service quality. Along with the development of information technology is helping the tourism sector in maximizing performance. Use of information technology is then summarized in the form of tourism geographic information system with the Internet as a media liaison best promotion. Using information from a number of data processing that geographic data and then aggregating them in a geographic information website using location-based technology services. Hopefully with this website Southwest Sumba increasingly recognized through tourism, the community's economy grew well and can be a solution to improve the tourism sector in Southwest Sumba significant.
