Abstract: | Variety show adalah format acara televisi yang mengkombinasikan berbagai format lainnya, seperti talkshow, magazine show, quiz, games show, music concert, drama dan sitcom (komedi situasi) salah satunya adalah tayangan variety show The Return of Superman. Variety Show ini memperlihatkan 4 orang tua khususnya peran ayah dalam menjaga dan mengajarkan anaknya sopan santun. Responden yang digunakan adalah orang-orang yang menonton tayangan ini. Korelasi pun digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk melihat seberapa jauh hubungan antara tayangan The Return of Superman dengan minat menonton.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara daya tarik The Return of Superman terhadap minat menontonpada Mahasiswa UKSW di Salatiga. Metode kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan tersebut. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan yaitu dengan uji korelasi kendall dan Spearman.
Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini melalui uji korelasi bernilai 0.346 (Kendall) dan 0,450 (Spearman) menurut tabel koefisien korelasi hasil tersebut menyatakan adanya hubungan yang cukup kuat antara daya tarik Tayangan The Return of Superman terhadap minat menonton. Variety show is a form of television show which combines other television show formats, such as talk show, magazine show, quiz, games show, music concert, drama, and sitcom (Situation Comedion), and The Return of Superman is an example of a variety show. This show features four Korean celebrities who show their fatherly side when taking care of their children and also teaching them manners. The respondents for this study are the viewers of The Return of superman. Correlation is used to analyze the connection between the show and the interest of the viewers themselves. This study aims to analyze the appeal of The Return of Superman towards the interest of the viewers, who are UKSW students. Quantitative method is used in this study to figure out the correlation. Data analysis technique used in this study is Kendall and Spearman’s correlation coefficient. This study results in 0.346 using Kendall’s correlation, and 0.450 using Spearman’s. According to the correlation coefficient tables, these results prove that there is a strong relationship between the appeal of The Return of Superman with the viewers’ interest. |
