Representasi Citra Institusi Kepolisian Republik Indonesia pada Film “Enigma” Serial “Kematian Alana”

Abstract

Citra polisi saat ini cenderung memburuk seiring dengan adanya berbagai macam kasus yang menempatkan polisi sebagai pelaku kriminalnya. Di tengah keadaan tersebut, muncul film “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana” yang mengisahkan kinerja polisi yang mencari pelaku kasus kriminal. Seorang sosok polisi yang ideal ditunjukkan pada film ini, sehingga terbentuk citra polisi bagi masyarakat yang menontonnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui representasi citra polisi lewat makna denotasi, konotasi, serta mitos yang terdapat dalam film “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana”. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Fokus penelitian ini adalah representasi citra Institusi Kepolisian Republik Indonesia yang terbentuk dari dialog, tampilan visual serta adegan-adegan dalam film “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana”. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis semiotika dengan pendekatan analisis semiotika Roland Barthes yang memiliki dua tingkat penandaan yaitu denotasi dan konotasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat makna denotasi, konotasi, serta mitos pada film “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana”. Dari makna denotasi, konotasi dan mitos tersebut dapat merepresentasikan citra polisi pada film “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana”. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa citra Institusi Kepolisian Republik Indonesia dalam film “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana” merupakan citra keinginan. Citra keinginan yang membuat polisi berkesan positif dipandangan masyarakat.

The image of the police is now likely to worsen with the various cases that put the police as a criminal offender. In the midst of this situation, it appears the film “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana” which tells the performance of police looking for the perpetrators of criminal cases. A policeman ideal figure shown in the film, thus forming the image of the police for the people who watch it. The purpose of this research is to know the police image representation through the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myths contained in the film “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana”. This research use explorative descriptive method with qualitative method. The focus of this research is the representation of the image of the Indonesian Republic Police Institution formed of dialogue, the visual display as well as scenes in the movie “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana”. Data analysis techniques used in this research is the analysis of semiotic with Roland Barthes semiotic analysis approach which has two levels of designation, there is denotation and connotation. The result of this research show denotation, connotation, and the myth of the movie “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana”. From the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth can represent the image of the police in the film “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana”.Can be concluded that the image of the Indonesian Republic Police Institution in the movie “ENIGMA” serial “Kematian Alana” is the wish image. The wish image which makes the police positive impression from the public views.
