Abstract: | Fault tolerance merupakan salah satu hal penting untuk merancang suatu jaringan. Stabilitas transfer data dibutuhkan perusahaan untuk melakukan proses transfer data secara real time. Dalam hal ini perusahaan membutuhkan suatu sistem yang bisa menjaga connection agar tetap lancar. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan menambahkan redundant router dalam suatu jaringan router untuk mengatasi fault tolerance. Untuk membangun jaringan redundant router dapat menggunakan protocol redundancy seperti Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) dan Virtual Router Redudancy Protocol (VRRP). HSRP merupakan protocol proprietary redudancy Cisco dan VRRP merupakan protocol non-proprietary. Penelitian ini membandingan antara HSRP dan VRRP pada transfer data dan video streaming. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisa HSRP dan VRRP untuk mengatasi fault tolerance pada transfer data dan video streaming. Fault tolerance is an important thing to design a network. Stability of data transfer required the company to make the process of data transfer in real time. In this case, the company needs a system that can keep the connection to keep it smooth. One of the solutions to solve this is to add redundant routers in a network router. To build a network router redundancy protocol, Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) and Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) can be used. HSRP is a Cisco proprietary redundancy protocol and VRRP is a protocol non-proprietary.This research employed comparison between HSRP and VRRP on data transfer and video streaming. The main objective of this research is to analyze the HSRP and VRRP to solve fault tolerance on data transfer and video streaming. |
