Title: Sistem Otomatisasi Input Data dari Timbangan Digital Huong dan XK3190-A9 ke Server yang Terhubung ke Sebuah Sistem Database dengan Menggunakan Raspberry PI

Abstract: PT Tripilar Betonmas (PT. TBM) which is an asbestos factory has an XK3190- A9 Huong Dan® truck scale for truck weighing. The scale is located in the center of factory while the weight indicator is put in a small station beside the scale. In order to input truck information such as license plate number, the driver’s name and the truck’s weight shown by the weight indicator, PT. TBM still uses a program which isn’t connected to its server. Workers need to input those data to the server manually. Therefore, a new system which is able to send those data to the server and save them in the database automatically is needed. The proposed system will change the current software which is only a graphical DOS application to a Windows form application installed in the server. In addition, data gathering will be done in a single form. Thus, it will not only make the data gathering more efficient, but also make the user interface easy and more attractive. Since the server is not located near the station, workers will access the server remotely. This causes direct connection between the server and the weigh indicator to be impossible; hence, the use of Raspberry Pi® tiny computer and serial communication are proposed to overcome this problem. Truck weight shown by the weight indicator will be first acquired by the Raspberry Pi® through serial connection using serial RS232 to USB cable. Afterwards, it will be sent to the server over User Diagram Protocol (UDP) network, and it will be ready to be read by the workers. Experiments show that both processes have a 100% success rate which is desired.
