Abstract: | Research concerning about the method of validation on the determination of fluoride in some toothpastes product had been done since October 2009 until April 2010 in the Basic Chemistry Laboratory and Environmental Chemistry Laboratory Faculty of Science and Mathematics Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga. The aims of this research were : firstly, to know which method was suitable for the digestion of sample of some toothpastes product, and secondly to find out the accuracy, precisely, linierity, and stability of the method concerning to the measurement of fluoride content in some toothpastes product. The digestion method which suitable for the sample of some toothpastes product determine by the comparison between 3 methods of digestion and the method of validation concerning about the measurement are the maximum wavelength standard curve, accuracy test, precisely test, and stability test. Result shown that the method of sample extraction of some toothpastes product by using the HNO3 concentrated digestion method (3rd method). While the method of validation shown that the spectrophotometer (UV-VIS Mini Shimadzu U-1240) and SPADNS reach the acceptable accuracy. Precisely has the RSD <= 2.00%. Furthermore the stability test shown that the measurement of fluoride in the range of not more than 2 hours is still reliable to be measured |
