Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris dan menganalisis pengaruh motivasi terhadap interaksi antara komitmen organisasional dan komitmen profesional dengan kepuasan kerja auditor. Unit analisis penelitian ini adalah auditor di kantor akuntan publik Semarang tahun 2012. Hipotesis-hipotesis yang dibangun dalam penelitian ini diuji dengan moderated regression analysis, tetapi terlebih dahulu akan dilakukan uji kualitas data dan uji asumsi klasik. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan, secara parsial komitmen organisasional dan komitmen profesional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Kesimpulan berikutnya adalah bahwa motivasi juga terbukti berdampak signifikan terhadap interaksi antara komitmen organisasional dan komitmen profesional dengan kepuasan kerja. Adjusted R square yang dihasilkan penelitian ini sebesar 45,6 persen.
This study aims to empirically examine and analyze the effect of motivation on the interaction between organizational commitment and professional commitment to the auditor job satisfaction. The unit of analysis of this study was an auditor at a public accounting firm in Semarang in 2012. The following hypotheses were constructed in this study were tested with moderated regression analysis, but first will do the quality test data and test the classical assumptions. The findings of this study indicate, partially organizational commitment and professional commitment significant effect on job satisfaction. Next conclusion is that the motivations also proven to have a significant impact on the interaction between organizational commitment and professional commitment to job satisfaction. Adjusted R square of this research produced by 45.6 percen.
