Abstract

Local wisdom is a knowledge which created by the experience of ancestors who regulate the lifetime of local community. The knowledge guide the practice of local community, especially Mbatakapidu’s people in every life aspect such as economics, social, and environment. This study found that there has been a shift in values, both positive and negative which caused by socio-economic changes. Nevertheless, local wisdom must be prioritized to drive the development’s direction. In order that, there should be efforts to preserve values which support the development process.
