Abstract

Development plans of Geothermal energy (PLTP) started in 2008-2013, until now activities that have been implemented are The first survey, socialization, further surveys and drilling. The purpose of this research are describe and analyze about participation, perceptions and attitudes to Development plans of geothermal energy in the Idamdehe village. in this paper, the authors use data collection techniques like a, surveys, interviews, observation and documentation. Informant selecting process was using the snowball technique. Results from this research are, the poverty make the community agree, other than the the information given by the company and local government unilaterally / the positive, this is what makes the perception of the majority of people agree about plans to build geothermal energy, but it can not be denied that the majority of people do not agree to this development. Based on the findings of the field that the activities carried out non-participation but the mobilization because no community involvement in decision making, so that the sustainable development is only a concept.
