Konstruksi Identitas Perkumpulan Mahasiswa Jabodetabek UKSW Mengenai Penyebutan Jakarta Bukan Jawa

Abstract

“Jakarta bukan Jawa” itulah sebutan – sebutan yang dilontarkan oleh masyarakat Jakarta yang seolah masyarakat Jakarta ingin mempnyai identitas sendiri dan tidak mau disamakan dengan orang Jawa, saat masyarakat Jakarta pergi ke suatu tempat diluar Jakarta mereka menyebut tempat tersebut sebagai Jawa. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif serta Teori konstuksi Identitas yang diambil dari Manuel Castells (1997) project identity dan teori Strategi Komunikasi dari Allo Liliweri yang digunakan penulis di penelitian terhadap Perkumpulan Mahasiswa JABODETABEK di UKSW. Identitas mereka masuk ke dalam proyek identitas, dimana mereka ingin mengubah posisi mereka dengan membuat Perkumpulan Mahasiswa JABODETABEK di UKSW, Konstruksi identitas mereka terbentuk karena mereka merasa bahwa mereka bukan dari Jawa. Identitas tersebut mereka kehendaki karena mereka tidak merasa memiliki identitas sebagai orang Jawa dengan berbagai faktor seperti bahasa, logat, pergaulan dan kebiasaan. Pertahanan Identitas mereka bersumber dari cara bergaul, bahasa yang digunakan, perasaan senasib-sepenanggungan, pertemuan serta peranan pencetus perkumpulan tersebut.

Jakarta is not Java" that term – a term leveled by community community seemed to want to own software packages have an identity and would not equate with the Javanese community, when going somewhere outside Jakarta they call the place as Java. The identity of their entry into the identity project, where they want to change their position by creating a Student Assembly in the JABODETABEK SWCU an identity Construction, they are formed because they feel that they are not from Java. The identity they want because they do not feel to have identity as Javanese people with a variety of factors such as language, slang, guidelines and customs. Defence of their identity is predicated on the way to get along, the language used, the feeling well – that, meetings as well as the role of the originator of the Assembly.
