Abstract: Proses pengambilan keputusan keuangan saat ini dipengaruhi oleh keuangan berbasis perilaku yang menyatakan bahwa perilaku dalam pembuatan keputusan keuangan terjadi didasarkan faktor psikologis investor yang akan membawa proses pembuatan keputusan menyimpang dari rasionalitas. Salah satu perilaku yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor psikologis adalah efek disposisi (disposition effect). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kecenderungan perilaku disposition effect pada calon investor individu yang sekaligus dikaitkan oleh faktor demografi dan personality traits. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah investor individu yang dianalogikan mahasiswa MM UKSW yang sedang atau telah mengambil mata kuliah Manajemen Keuangan yang berjumlah 89 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa calon investor masih memiliki kecenderungan untuk mengalami disposition effect yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor demografi terutama gender. Dalam pengambilan keputusan diharapkan para calon investor individu mampu meminimalisir terjadinya perilaku disposition effect agar dapat mengoptimalkan hasil investasinya.
The process of financial decision making is influenced by behavioral finance theory which explained that in financial decision-making, it happens based on psychological factors investors which will bring the decision-making process deviates from rationality. One of the behaviors that are influenced by psychological factors is the disposition effect. This study aims to analyze the influence of demographic factors and personality traits on the disposition effect behavior which happens in potential individual investor. The sample in this study is potential investors which are illustrated by Magister of Management of SWCU students who are taken Financial Management courses. These results indicate that the potential investors still have a tendency to experience the disposition effect which is influenced by demographic factors, especially gender factor and personality traits which is neuroticism factor. In conclusion, the process of financial decision expected potential individual investors are able to minimize the disposition effect behavior in order to optimize the investment results.
