Komunikasi Terapeutik Perawat dengan Pasien Gangguan Jiwa: Studi Deskriptif Kualitatif Komunikasi Terapeutik Perawat dengan Pasien Gangguan Jiwa di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang

Abstract

Komunikasi memiliki proses yang sangat berarti dalam hubungan antar manusia. Komunikasi merupakan suatu aktivitas yang melibatkan perilaku dan memungkinkan terjadinya timbal balik antara komunikan dan komunikator. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti ingin mengetahui aktivitas komunikasi terapeutik antara perawat dengan pasien gangguan jiwa di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang. Sebagai salah satu rumah sakit jiwa terbesar di jawa tengah, rumah sakit ini telah menerapkan praktik komunikasi terapeutik terhadap para pasiennya.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dimana penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi pustaka dalam memperoleh data yang akurat. Hasil yang diperoleh dari peneilitian ini menunjukan bahwa komunikasi terapeutik yang di terapkan Rumah Sakit Jiwa Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang ini terbagi dalam empat tahap, yaitu tahap pra-interakasi, orientasi, kerja dan terminasi. Setiap tahap memiliki tujuan dan arti tersendiri, namun setiap tahap tersebut tetap memiliki satu tujuan yaitu membantu kesembuhan pasien. Selain itu hubungan saling percaya menjadi hal yang sangat penting demi terciptanya suatu hubungan yang harmonis antara perawat dengan pasien. Hubungan tersebutlah yang dibangun para perawat dengan metode komunikasi terapetik untuk meningkatkan kesempatan sembuh para pasien penyakit jiwa di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang.

Process of communication playing big role in human relationship. Communication itself is an activity which involved behavior and interaction from both comunican anc comunicator in its process. In this research, researcher try to collect information about communication activities of terapeutic between nurses and patients in psychiatric department of Rumah Sakit Jiwa Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang. As one of biggest hospital in Center of Java, this hospital has already applied the practic of terapeutic communication towards their patient in term of healing method. This research used qualitative descriptive approachment, where the researcher did observation, depth interviews and literature studies to get the right information and data. The result from this research shows that terapeutic communication which is applied by Rumah Sakit Jiwa Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang divided into four steps, they are step of preinteraction, orientation, work, and termination. Each steps has their own purposes and meanings, and one main purpose to gain is that to help patients get their health. The cooperation between the patient and nurses is needed in these activities of terapeutic communication, besides trust each other also become an important thing to recreate a good relationship between them. That kind of relationship builded by the nurses with terapeutic communication approachment to increase the probability of healing of the patient with mental disorder in Rumah Sakit Jiwa Prof. Dr. Soerojo Magelang.
