Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola asuh otoritatif dan kelekatan sebagai prediktor kecerdasan emosi remaja ditinjau dari status pekerjaan ibu dan jenis kelamin. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah remaja di Kecamatan Ambarawa yang berusia 12-15 tahun berjumlah 250 orang. Terdapat tiga alat ukur yang peneliti gunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ), Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA), dan Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire – Adolescent Short Form (TEIQue-ASF). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda, two-way anova, dan independent sample t-test melalui program SPSS windows versi 16.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Pola asuh otoritatif dan kelekatan secara simultan berpengaruh sebagai prediktor kecerdasan emosi remaja di Kecamatan Ambarawa (R2= 0.471, Fhitung = 35.183 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000 (p<0.05)). (2) Tidak ada perbedaan kecerdasan emosi remaja di Kecamatan Ambarawa ditinjau dari status pekerjaan ibu (T=-0.106; p=0.915>0.05). (3) Ada perbedaan signifikan kecerdasan emosi remaja di Kecamatan Ambarawa ditinjau dari jenis kelamin (T=2.079; p=0.039<0.05).
The aim of this research is to determine the effect of authoritative parental and attachment simultaneously towards emotional intelligence of adolescent by mother working's status and gender. Samples of this research are 250 beginning adolescent in Ambarawa Sub District which their ages between 12-15 years old. There were three scales, which were Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ), Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA), dan Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire – Adolescent Short Form (TEIQue-ASF). All data is analyzed with double linear reggresion, two way anova, and independent sample t-test by SPSS Windows 16.0 version. The results showed that (1) Authoritative parental and attachment simultaneously affected emotional intelligence of adolescent in Ambarawa Sub District (R2= 0.471, Fhitung = 35.183 in significance level 0.000 (p<0.05)). (2) There was no significant difference between mother who working and mother who non-working (T=-0.106; p=0.915>0.05). (3) There was a significant difference between male and female adolescent's in emotional intelligence (T=2.079; p=0.039<0.05).
