Hubungan antara Takut Gagal dengan Prokrastinasi Skripsi pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Elektro Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara takut kegagalan dengan prokrastinasi skripsi pada mahasiswa fakultas teknik elektro Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa fakultas teknik elektro UKSW yang sedang mengambil matakuliah skripsi sejumlah 39 mahasiswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan Tuckman Procrastination Scale yang terdiri dari 35 aitem dan Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory yang terdiri dari 25 aitem. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan product moment Pearson, diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi (r) = 0,626 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05) dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara takut kegagalan dengan prokrastinasi skripsi pada mahasiswa fakultas teknik elektro UKSW. Sumbangan efektif takut kegagalan terhadap prokrastinasi skripsi dalam penelitian ini sebesar 0,391, artinya prokrastinasi pada mahasiswa fakultas teknik elektro 39,1% ditentukan oleh faktor takut gagal, sedangkan 60,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diungkap dalam penelitian ini.

The purpose of this study is review the relation between fear of failure with thesis procrastination of students faculty electrical engineering Satya Wacana Christian University. The subject of the research is the student of electrical engineering faculty Satya Wacana Christisn University who are taking thesis about 39 students. Data collection method used tuckman procrastination scale consisting of 35 aitem and performance failure appraisal inventory consisting of 25 aitem. According to the analysis by product moment pearson, obtained the value of a correlation coefficient ( r ) = 0,626 with the significance 0,000 (p < 0,05 ) it can be obtained that there is a significant positive connection between fear of failure with thesis procrastination of students faculty electrical engineering SWCU. Effective contribution of fear of failure to thesis procrastination in this research by 0,391, it means that students of electrical engineering faculty procrastination 39,1 % determined by a factor of fear of failure, while 60,9 % influenced by other factors that are not disclosed in this research.
