The objective of the study is to determine both the partial and simultaneously relationship between Hardiness and Friend’s Social Support with Acculturative Stress in Papua students. The study population was 190 students of Papua students in Satya Wacana Christian University Salatiga, from 2nd semesters and they had never lived in Central Java. The number of samples in this study are 66 students using simple random sampling technique. There are three parameters which used in this study were: Acculturative Stress Scales for International Student (ASSIS), Hardiness scales and Friend’s Social Support scales, respectively. Data were analyzed using the assumption test, multiple correlation test, Product Moment correlation test, and the coefficient of determination. The results of the study showed that there is simultaneously effect between Hardiness and Friend’s Social Support toward Stress Acculturative on the Papua male students (Fcalc = 15.359 and p<0.05) with the effective contribution of 50.6%. Furhter on there is also simultaneously effect between Hardiness and Friend’s Social Support with Stress Acculturative in female’s Papua student (Fcalc = 16.099 and p <0.05) with the effective contribution of 51.8%. There is an Acculturative Stress differences between Papua’s students at Satya Wacana Christian University Salatiga in terms of gender (t = 2.014 and p <0.05). The male’s Papua students have a higher stress Acculturative than the female’s Papua students. |
