Mutasi Tenaga Pendeta: Suatu Analisis tentang Mutasi Tenaga Pendeta di GPM

Abstract

Mutasi tenaga pendeta diatur oleh Sinode GPM bertujuan agar pelayanan didalam gereja dapat berjalan dengan baik dan kebutuhan spritual umat dapat terpenuhi. Sesuai dengan kenyataan yang terjadi didalam lingkungan GPM bahwa pendeta yang terlampau banyak dibandingkan jumlah jemaat-jemaat yang ada. Sehingga mutasi tenaga pendeta ini harus diatur dengan baik agar penyimpangan dan kendala terkait dengan pelaksanaan mutasi tidak terjadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kebijakan dan proses pelaksanaan mutasi tenaga pendeta yang dilakukan oleh Gereja Protestan Maluku dan juga ingin mengetahui tanggapan pendeta dan umat tentang mutasi ini. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan metode kualitatif melalui wawancara kepada wakil sekum GPM, kepala personalia dan pensiunan GPM, beberapa pendeta baik di Klasis Pulau Wetar dan Klasis Pulau Ambon Timur serta majelis jemaat dan anggota jemaat Klasis Pulau Ambon Timur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kebijakan mutasi tenaga pendeta di GPM perlu dilakukan. Baik pendeta dan majelis jemaat menginginkan agar proses pelaksanaan mutasi memperhatikan kebutuhan umat. Proses pelaksanaan mutasi yang dilakukan di GPM sudah berjalan dengan baik sesuai peraturan yang ada walaupun tidak semua dilakukan dengan penilaian objektif. Hal ini perlu diperhatikan oleh Sinode GPM untuk dapat mengatasi tanggapan negatif dari pendeta, majelis jemaat dan umat tentang pelaksanaan mutasi pendeta.

The mutation of protestan priest is regulated by the synod of church to ensure the services in the church run effectively, and spiritual needs of congregat can be fulfilled. According to the reality in Gereja Protestan Maluku, the quantity of protestan priest is more than the congregat. Thereby, the mutation must be properly managed to avoid some distortions that might be occured in the proccess of mutation. The goals of this research are to analyze the church policy, the implementation of the mutation that held by Gereja Protestan Maluku, and also to understand the responses of protestan priest and congregat about this issue. The evidences of this research were collected by the qualitative method through interview to the general secretary of GPM, personnel manager of GPM, the retired protestan priest, some protestan priest in Klasis Wetar island and Klasis East Ambon island, and also the congregat and church council of klasis East Ambon island. The result of this research show that mutation policy is indispensable. The protestan priest and church council expect that the mutation should pay attention to the parishioner needs. The implementation of mutation has been conducted according to the rules, but need to take concern of subjectivity in the process of evaluation. Thus, Gereja Protestan Maluku needs to consider this issue to avoid the negative perspective of protestan priest, church council and congregat about the implementation of mutation.
