Perancangan Aplikasi Delivery Order Berbasis Android Menggunakan Teknologi Google Maps dan GPS: Studi Kasus Wulan’s Cakery

Abstract

Wulan’s cakery merupakan sebuah toko yang bergerak dalam penjualan kue yang mempunyai layanan pesan antar di Kabupaten Boyolali. Pelanggan dapat memesan melalui facebook, email, BBM, maupun SMS dan menanyakan harga kue yang diinginkan kepada pemilik toko. Karena tidak adanya daftar harga, data pelanggan tidak berkumpul menjadi satu, dan jumlah pelanggan dari waktu ke waktu semakin bertambah dan semakin luas penyebarannya menyebabkan kurir mengalami kesulitan dalam menemukan lokasi pelanggan. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan aplikasi untuk menangani masalah tersebut yang dilengkapi dengan Google Maps dan GPS. Dengan bantuan Global Positioning System (GPS) yang berfungsi sebagai petunjuk lokasi, Location Based Service (LBS) yang menyediakan informasi berdasarkan letak geografis perangkat Mobile, melalui visualisasi Google Maps maka aplikasi ini dapat membantu pihak kurir menemukan lokasi pelanggan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aplikasi pemesanan barang yang dilengkapi dengan teknologi Google Maps dan GPS, yang dapat memberikan informasi alamat tujuan dan rute jalan sehingga membantu kurir dalam proses pengiriman barang.

Because the absence of price lists, customer data is not gathered into one, and the number of customers from time to time growing and increasingly wide-spread causes the courier had difficulty in finding the location of the customer. Therefore an application is needed to address the problem that comes with Google Maps and GPS. With a Global Positioning System(GPS), which purpose as guide of,Location Based Service (LBS) provides information based on geographic location of the mobile device, through Google Maps so this application can help the courier find the location of customers. This research prodeced a delivery order application that are equipped with Google Maps and GPS technology which is provided to get information about destination address and route so can help courier to process the ordering goods.
