Abstract: | Paradigma pembelajaran student-centered learning (SCL) menekankan keaktifan mahasiswa dalam proses belajar sehingga dapat memaksimalkan potensi mahasiswa. Namun seringkali keaktifan mahasiswa masih belum maksimal, terutama dalam kegiatan kerja kelompok. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan media pembelajaran online di mana dosen dan mahasiswa dapat berkolaborasi, terdokumentasi dengan baik serta secara transparan dapat memantau keaktifan mahasiswa membuat MediaWiki terpilih sebagai salah satu dari banyak online collaboration tools. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dalam pengumpulan dan pengolahan data. Karena Mediawiki merupakan salah satu produk teknologi informasi dan melibatkan proses knowledge management di dalamnya, maka dilakukan juga studi literatur mengenai knowledge management system dan e-learning system. Dilakukan uji coba di dua kelas matakuliah dan didapatkan hasil 9 dari 16 kelompok mahasiswa berhasil berkolaborasi dengan baik. Penelitian ini membuktikan MediaWiki dapat dijadikan alternatif media pembelajaran serta mendukung upaya implementasi paradigma student-centered learning. Student-centered learning (SCL) learning paradigm emphasizes the activity of students in the learning process so as to maximize the potential of students. But often the active role of the student is still not optimal, especially in group work activities. Therefore, it needs an online learning media where lecturers and students can collaborate, document well, and be transparent can monitor students’ active roles to make MediaWiki chosen as one of a number of online collaboration tools. This research utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach in gathering and processing the data. Becasue MediaWiki is an information technology product and involves a knowledge management process, so a literature study is also conducted regarding to a knowledge management system and an e-learning system. An essay writing trial test is done in two classes and the results reveal that 9 out of the 16 student groups succeeded to collaborate well. This research verifies that MediaWiki can become an alternative learning media and can support the implementation of a student-centered learning paradigm. |
