Perancangan dan Implementasi Teleworker System untuk Memaksimalkan Remote Access pada Jaringan WAN

Abstract

Komunikasi data yang terintegrasi saat ini sudah menjadi kebutuhan bagi sebuah institusi atau perusahaan bisnis, apalagi jika seorang pegawai harus bekerja walau sedang tidak berada di kantor. Teleworker system menjadi pilihan tepat, karena untuk melakukan akses jarak jauh maka dibutuhkan sebuah komunikasi yang efisien atau dapat memanfaatkan infrastruktur yang sudah ada, dapat diakses dimana saja dan tentunya aman. VPN adalah teknologi yang tepat digunakan untuk teleworker system. Dengan VPN, pegawai yang berada diluar akan mendapatkan layanan seperti di jaringan lokal. Untuk memudahkan pengelolaan file digunakan file server dan FTP server. File server digunakan untuk menyimpan file masing-masing pegawai dan FTP server untuk layanan pengelolaan file langsung dari tablet atau smartphone. Dengan demikian aktivitas teleworker ini menjadi aman, karena sistem ini menggunakan teknologi VPN dengan metode tunnel dan enkripsi. Sistem ini diterapkan di FTI UKSW Salatiga.

Teleworker system is a good option, because to do remote access is needed an efficient communication or can utilize existing infrastructure, can be accessed anywhere and certainly safe. VPN is the right technology is used for teleworker system. With a VPN, employees who are outside will get such service in the local network. To facilitate the management of files used a file server and FTP server. The file server is used for storing files of each employee and the FTP server for file management services directly from a tablet or smartphone. Thus, the activity of this teleworker to be safe, because the system uses VPN technology to tunnel and encryption methods. The system was implemented in FTI SWCU Salatiga.
