Perancangan dan Implementasi Proxy Server Pada Jaringan Pusdiklat Migas Cepu

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi web yang tidak diimbangi dengan ketersediaan bandwidth yang cukup, atau ketersediaan bandwidth yang masih memerlukan biaya yang cukup besar. Penggunaan cache ditujukan untuk meningkatkan kecepatan akses tanpa bandwidth tambahan. squid proxy adalah software yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat cache. squid proxy umumnya hanya mampu menyimpan halaman web dalam bentuk teks dan gambar, sebagian besar pengguna internet lebih memilih untuk mengakses video untuk mendapatkan informasi yang mereka butuhkan. Videocache di ubuntu 10.04, mampu menyimpan file berbasis video. Penghematan bandwidth dapat diperoleh dengan membandingkan bandwidth sebelum menggunakan proxy server dengan setelah menggunakan proxy server dalam bandwidth keseluruhan. Videocache sistem dalam penelitian ini mampu menghemat bandwidth sebesar 12,56 % dari sebelum menggunakan proxy server dan setelah menggunakan proxy server, sehingga server cache squid video berhasil diwujudkan sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian.

Bandwidth savings can be obtained by comparing bandwidth before using a proxy server with after using a proxy server in the overall bandwidth. Videocache system in this study were able to save bandwidth of 12,56 % from the bandwidth before using a proxy server and after using a proxy server, so the squid cache server video successfully realized in accordance with the purpose of research.
