Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendiskripsikan kinerja kepala sekolah SD Negeri 1 Merbuh UPT Dinas Pendidikan Kecamatan Singorojo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kinerja kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa adalah: (1) peningkatan mutu pembelajaran antara lain kepala sekolah memaksimalkan kompetensi guru dalam profesi dan pengembangan karir melalui peningkatan kualifikasi pendidikan dan kegiatan profesionalisme guru, (2) Membentuk tim kerja yang baik dengan melibatkan guru, wali murid, komite dan nara sumber,(3)Peningkatan prestasi siswa dalam bidang akademis dan non akademis dengan didukung program pengembangan diri siswadan program pengembangan sarana dan prasarana untuk mendukung prestasi siswa.Kinerja kepala sekolah menentukan kinerja guru dan prestasi sekolah. The objectives of the study were to identify and describe the performance of principal in SD Negeri 1 Merbuh Unit of Education Department in District of Singorojo. The study used descriptive qualititative method, data collection, interview, observation and documentation, data reduction, presentation and conclusion. The validity test of the data in this study used triangulation. The results of the study showed the performance of principal in developing the students’ achievement were: 1) improving the quality of learning in the case of the principal maximizes the competence of teachers in the profession and career development by improving educational qualification and teacher professionalism activities, 2) Establishing a good working team by involving teachers, parents, committee and resources(3)Improving students’ achievement in academic and non-academic which was supported by the student development programs and the infrastructure development programs to support the students’ achievement. The performance of school principal determined the teachers’ performance and school’s achievement. |
