Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi program pendidikan karakter di SMP Negeri 1 Limbangan, Kendal. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan model evaluasi CIPP, dengan kajian tiga aspek yaitu konteks, input dan proses, karena program masih berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: pada aspek konteks, pendidikan karakter memang dibutuhkan dalam rangka membentuk pribadi anak. Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Kendal menetapkan bahwa SMP Negeri 1 Limbangan Kendal menjadi pilot project pendidikan karakter. Pada aspek input terdapat tujuh program nilai karakter yang dilaksanakan dengan tiga cara, yakni: intrakurikuler, ekstrakurikuler dan budaya sekolah. Harapannya seluruh warga sekolah mempunyai pengetahuan dan kebiasaan nilai-nilai karakter. Pada aspek proses, ketujuh program berhasil dilaksanakan. Proses pelaksanaannya mengandung tiga aspek yaitu: moral knowing, moral feeling dan moral action. Pelaksanaan program bervariasi sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah direncanakan. The aim of this research was to evaluate the character education program in SMP Negeri 1 Limbangan, Kendal. This research is the evaluation study. The technique of data collection used is interviews, documentation and observation. Data analysis was determined by CIPP evaluation model, which consists of three aspects: context, input and process, because the program is still in progress. The results showed that in the context, character education is needed in order to establish the children's personalities. Education Office of Kendal decide that the SMP Negeri 1 Limbangan, Kendal as pilot project of character education. The input has seven programs character value, which through three ways, they are intracurriculer, extracurricular and school culture. Hopefully the whole school community has the knowledge and habits of character values. The process, all of seven programs are successful have done. Implementation process contains three aspects: moral knowing, moral feeling and moral action. Implementations of the programs are according to the planned schedule. |
