Abstract: Contextual Teaching and Learning will be an alternative learning method to increase study result for student in primary school. Purpose of this research that: (1) to make description science learning with Contextual Teaching and Learning, (2) to explain increasing activity of students after application of Contextual Teaching and Learning, (3) to explain increasing student result of science learning after application of Teaching and Learning method, This was class action research. Subject research was students of fifth grade of second semester, academic year 2016/2017. Location of this research was Tegalsari state primary school, sub-district Karanggede, Boyolali regency. For class action, this research was conducted in planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Collecting data method used test, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive comparative. Result of this research that (1) science learning with Contextul Teaching and Learning method increased communication between students and students and students and teacher. Such as a discussion of certain subject matter, teacher just fascilitated, mediated, and motivated. (2) Contextual Teaching and Learning also increase activity and study motivation of students to learn science. For pre cycle, student tent to passive and less interaction to learn science (12 students). After application of Contextual Teaching and Learning, students more active and increase interaction and communication. It was showed result of first (22 students) and second cycle (30 students)
