Abstract: This study explored the pronunciation error faced by the Transactional Speaking students in the English Department of Satya Wacana Christian University. One research question asked what are the pronunciation errors faced by the Transactional Speaking students in English Department of Satya Wacana Christian University. 16 participants participated in this study. The data were collected from minimal pair and reading story tests. To pin point the students` pronunciation errors, two native speaker teachers were involved in both tests. The results of this study show that based on minimal pair test the 5 consonants /z/, /θ/, /ʒ/, /g/ and /t∫/ and 5 vowels /ɔ/, /e/, /oʊ/, /aʊ/ and /ε/ were difficult to pronounce and based on reading story test the sounds /d/, /t/, /i/ and /aI/ caused errors in the students` pronunciation, also the sounds /v/, /∫/, /dʒ/, /ð/, /I/ and /æ/ proved to be problematic to the students.
