Based on the initial research, it obtained that The Government of Salatiga City’s website design was found to be less user-friendly and less informative. The design tended to be less attractive and was having similiarties to a blog. Homepage’s main page was found to be lengthy and extremely long as the menus brought a plain impression due to the absence of a logo. In addition to that, shortcuts to return to the main page were nowhere to be found. The small sized logo and the absence of Salatiga’s philosophy resulted in the shortcomings of the website. Basrd on existing problems, a redesign in order to make it more user-friendly and informative is immensely needed.
