Title: Senior High School Students’ Perspectives on Teacher’s Feedback in English Writing Assignments

Abstract: Teacher’s feedback is one of the important things that students need when they learn about writing skill. The feedback helps them to improve and develop their skill in writing. This study aims to find the students’ perspectives on the teacher’s feedbackin writing assignments. This study used a closed-ended questionnaire to get the data. The questionnaire consists of 20 items and was distributedto 85 participants, who were first gradestudents of a private senior high school. The research questions for this study are:(1)How do students view teacher’s feedback on their writing assignments? (2)How do they use the feedback to improve their skill in English writing? The study found thatthe studentsview teacher’s feedback positively.Theyconsidered that teacher’s feedback is important and helpful for them to improve their writing. When they got feedback from their teacher, they would study it and learn from their mistakes and the suggested corrections to improve their writing.
