Profil Kemampuan Berpikir Reflektif Siswa SMP dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Matematika Pisa pada Konten Quantity

Abstract

Berpikir reflektif merupakan salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika. Oleh karenanya berpikir reflektif perlu mendapat perhatian dari guru. Akan tetapi, sebagian besar proses evaluasi hanya menilai bagaimana siswa mengerjakan dan hasil akhir saat menyelesaikan soal matematika tanpa memperhatikan mengapa siswa memilih langkah dalam menyelesaikan soal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika PISA pada konten quantity. Terdapat delapan tahap kemampuan berpikir reflektif yaitu: problem definition, problem analysis, criteria selection, information analysis,propose solution(s), select solution(s), implement solution(s), dan feedback analysis. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah enam siswa kelas VIII SMP N 1 Salatiga tahun pelajaran 2016-2017. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tes dan wawancara. Analisis hasil tes tertulis dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa profil kemampuan berpikir reflektif dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika PISA pada konten quantity untuk setiap jenis proses matematisasi adalah: 1) tipe formulating situations mathematically, terdapat empat subjek yang memenuhi semua tahap kemampuan berpikir reflektif; 2) tipe employing mathematical concepts, facts, procedures, and reasoning terdapat 2 subjek yang dapat memenuhi semua tahap kemampuan berpikir reflektif; 3) tipe interpreting, applying and evaluating mathematical outcomes terdapat dua subjek yang dapat memenuhi semua tahap kemampuan berpikir reflektif.

Reflective thinking is one of the determinants of student success in solving math problems. Therefore reflective thinking needs attention from the teacher. However, most evaluation processes only assess how students do and the end result when solving math problems regardless of why students choose steps to solve the problem. This study aims to determine the profile of students' reflective thinking ability in solving PISA math problems on content quantity. Subjects in this study were six students of grade VIII SMP N 1 Salatiga academic year 2016-2017. Data collection techniques in this study using exam techniques and interviews. Analysis of the results of written tests and interviews shows that the profile of reflective thinking ability in solving PISA math problems on the content of quantity for each type of process of mathematization are: 1) For formulating situations mathematically, there are four subjects that meet all stages of reflective thinking; 2) for the type of employing mathematical concepts, facts, procedures, and reasoning there are 2 subjects that can meet all stages of reflective thinking; 3) for the type of interpreting, applying and evaluating mathematical outcomes, there are two subjects that can meet all stages of reflective thinking
