Abstract: | Diabetes Melitus (DM) tipe 2 adalah penyakit gangguan metabolik yang ditandai oleh kenaikan gula darah akibat penurunan sekresi insulin oleh sel beta pankreas. Pada tahun 2013 pravelensi nasional DM yaitu sebanyak 2,1% dan Maluku Utara sebanyak 11,1%. Sakit dapat mempengaruhi respon psikosoial seseorang termasuk pada penderita DM Tipe 2. Respon psikososial merupakan respon terhadap suatu kondisi yang terjadi pada individu mencakup aspek psikis dan sosial sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pemilihan strategi koping yang sering kali dipengaruhi oleh hal-hal mendasar seperti budaya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan respon psikososial dan strategi koping yang dipilih oleh partisipan DM tipe 2 dalam konteks budaya di Halmahera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penentuan partisipan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling dan data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh respon psikososial partisipan yaitu ketidakberdayaan dan kehilangan peran, perasaan tertekan, dukungan sosial, sifat optimis dan resiliensi, untuk strategi koping partisipan, terdapat perbedaan yaitu partisipan laki-laki lebih menggunakan strategi problem focus coping dan partisipan perempuan menggunakan emotion focus coping, serta budaya mempengaruhi partisipan dalam respon psikososial: dukungan sosial dan srategi koping: penyelesaian masalah yaitu pencarian pengobatan secara tradisional. Diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2 is a disease metabolic disorder characterized by a rise in blood sugar due to a decrease in the secretion of insulin by the pancreas beta cells. In the year of 2013 national pravelensi DM that is as much as 2.1% and North Mollucas as much as 11.1%. Pain can affect one's psikosoial response included in people with type 2 DM. Psychosocial response is a response to a condition that occurs in an individual psychic and social cover so that it can influence the selection of strategies the coping often influenced by fundamental things such as culture. The purpose of the study is to describe the psychosocial response and coping strategy chosen by the participant of DM type 2 in the context of the culture in North Halmahera. This research used the qualitative method with approach case studies. Determination of the participants using a Purposive Sampling techniques and data collected through in-depth interviews and observations. Data analysis includes the reduction of the data, the presentation of the data and the withdrawal of the conclusion. The research results obtained psychosocial response participants., helplessness and loss of the role, feeling depressed, social support, optimistic nature and resiliensi, to strategies participant coping, there is a difference that is more male participants use the strategy of problem coping with female participants and the focus using the focus of emotion, as well as coping with culture affect participants in psychosocial response: social support and strategy coping: problem solving is searching treatment traditional. |
