Title: The Benefits of Drilling in Increasing Senior High Students Second Graders’ Vocabulary: Students’ Perspective

Abstract: Drilling is learning method which used repetition of words in delivering material. The aim of this study was to discuss about the benefits of drilling in increasing vocabulary. This research employed qualitative research to know the benefit of drilling based on students’ perspective. This study conducted by distributing questionnaires for the data collection. It involved twenty four students from second grades social class of one private senior high school in Kudus. The result of this study revealed that drilling have advantages not only in increasing students’ vocabulary but also in merge students’ skill such as listening and writing skill. Moreover, it also helps the readers to choose drilling as an effective method in learning new language.
