Abstract: | Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis dan berpikir siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition berbantuan media gambar pada siswa kelas III SD Negeri Getasan. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan hasil tes evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan menulis dan berpikir kritis siswa. Pada pra siklus keterampilan menulis siswa mendapatkan hasil 33% kategori “cukup” setelah diberikan tindakan siklus 1 , jumlah hasil keterampilan menulis siswa meningkat menjadi 26 % kategori “baik”, dan pada siklus 2 jumlah hasil keterampilan menulis siswa meningkat menjadi 74 % kategori “baik”. Sedangkan untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pra siklus memperoleh 63 % kategori “kurang kritis” , meningkat pada siklus 1 menjadi 56 % kategori “cukup kritis” dan pada siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 70 % kategori “cukup kritis”. Peningkatan ini terjadi karena pembelajaran menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition berbantuan media gambar dimana siswa belajar secara berkelompok dan guru menyiapkan banyak gambar yang menarik perhatian siswa untuk belajar. Dengan demikian hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition berbantuan media gambar mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis dan berpikir kritis siswa. Type of this research is Class Action Research (CAR). The research aims are to improve the students’ writing and thinking skill with using learning model of Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition that helped by picture as learning media in third-grade students of SD Negeri Getasan. Data collected by using observation sheet and evaluation test result. The research result showed that the students’ writing and thinking skill are able to improved. On Pre Cycle stage, the students’ writing skill result is got 33% in “sufficient” category after Cycle 1 action is done, the students’ writing skill result amount is improved into 26% in “good” category and on Cycle 2 the students’ writing skill result amount is improved into 74% in “good” category. While for the students’ critical thinking skill on Pre Cycle is achieved 63% in “less critical”, then it is improved on Cycle 1 into 56 % in “critical sufficient” and improved into 70% on Cycle 2 in “critical sufficient” category. This improvement is able to happened because of using learning model of Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition that helped by picture as learning media which the students are learn grouply and the teacher prepares many interested pictures for students to learn. Therefore, this research result is showed that applying learning model of Cooperative Integrated Reading Composition that helped by picture as learning media is able to improving the students’ writing and thinking skill. |
