Abstract: Community participation is an important aspect in the success of a development program. Tourism Village is a village that has the attraction and potential as a tourism that is seen from the aspect of the natural and cultural potential of the community which aims to the development of a village and improve the social and economic level of the surrounding community. TourismVillage formed by the community then the role of society in this development is very large. Research on community participation in Tourism Village development with case study in two villages namely Pentingsari Tourism Village and Candirejo Tourism Village. The result of the research is that the community participation is good enough, the community welcomes about their village development program. The purpose of this research is to know how the community participation in the development of the Tourism Village and what are the constraining factor of the community development of the Tourism Village and what are the supporting factor of the community in developing the Tourism Village. Research techniques used by researchers are interviews, observation and documentation. For both of these Tourism Villages, the authors suggest to tackle the Human Resources training and socialization improvement to the community.
