Dampak Pendampingan Penyuluh Terhadap Perkembangan Ayam Kub dan Respon Peternak di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta

Abstract

One of the innovations produced by the Indonesian of Agricultural Agency Research and Development (IAARD) is a superior local chicken (KUB). The demand for local chicken products always increases along the culinary tourism was developed. Livestock seeds have very strategic role in the production process, so that the availability of livestock seeds is needed in a sustainable manner. The objectives of the study are: 1) To analyze the feasibility of KUB farming in Kulon Progo Regency; 2) Evaluating the impact of KUB technology dissemination on the response of farmers in DIY. The study was conducted in Kulon Progo Regency from September to December 2018. The Data collected from 82 farmers, in Sentolo and Pengasih Subdistricts Kulon Progo Regency. The method of the study are technology assistance, farming records and surveys about the farmers’ response of KUB chicken. Data analysis was done by input output analysis approaches and farmers’ response. The results of the study show that: 1) business of 50 KUB chickens is feasible to be developed by farmers in DIY and income farmers as Rp. 1,484,000 /70 days; 2) the farmer's response is high until very high category, while the farmers' attitude is in the category of want until really want to develop.
