Abstract: Jongi plant (Dillenia serrata Thunb) is one of the family Dilleniaceae plants that is endemic in Sulawesi. The results of a reference study of this plant state that jongi fruit contains citric acid compounds, vitamin C and betacarotene and secondary metabolic compounds namely alkaloid compounds, flavonoids, saponins, polyphenols and triterpenoids so that it has antioxidant activity. Antioxidant activity of jongi fruit makes it a potential source of functional food. Processing of jongi fruit includes making candy, dodol, syrup and potential to be processed into sweets, chips and jam.
