Mambesak: Konserto untuk Solo Biola

Abstract

Kearifan budaya lokal Papua (West New Guinea) yang kaya dan eksotik semakin terkikis akibat masuknya pengaruh kebudayaan asing dan era globalisasi. Kepedulian terhadap seni musik asli Papua mulai hilang dikarenakan kurangnya tingkat apresiasi masyarakat. Generasi muda sekarang ini lebih memilih mendengarkan musik-musik bernuansa barat daripada musik tradisional daerah sendiri. Beranjak dari sebuah kesadaran akan pentingnya nilai-nilai budaya dan seni yang ada, maka penulis tergerak untuk menciptakan sebuah karya musik yang mengangkat ikon budaya Papua, yaitu burung cendrawasih dengan memasukkan unsur musik tradisional dan kearifan budaya lokal yang ada. Melalui metode practice based research, penulis melakukan investigasi untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan baru berdasarkan praktik selama proses penciptaan karya ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara bersama beberapa narasumber dan studi kepustakaan. Berdasarkan data-data yang terkumpul, maka muncul ide penulis untuk menyusun karya konserto untuk solo biola yang berjudul Mambesak. Karya ini terdapat tiga bagian yang mendeskripsikan tentang gerak-gerik dan keindahan burung cendrawasih. Karya Mambesak disusun menggunakan teknik kompositoris musik barat yang mengacu pada musik abad ke-20. Movement pertama berbentuk sonata form menceritakan tentang mitologi dan pandangan masyarakat terhadap burung cendrawasih hingga mendapat sebutan bird of paradise. Movement kedua berbentuk two part song form mendeskripsikan tentang sisi romantisme seekor burung cendrawasih yang digambarkan dalam suasana yang penuh dengan hasrat cinta. Movement ketiga berbentuk quassi rondo menceritakan tentang seekor burung cendrawasih dengan keindahan tariannya dalam memikat lawan jenisnya menjadi sasaran seorang pemburu. Karya ini disusun dengan tetap mengikuti aturan-aturan yang berlaku, namun tidak menutup kemungkinan bagi penulis untuk memasukkan unsur-unsur baru yang berkembang saat ini.

The data collection was done through joint interview yesterday some informants and study literature available. Based on the data which collected, so arose the idea of authors to arrange a piece for solo violin concertos titled Mambesak. The work is there are three parts which described about behaviors and beauty of the birds of paradise. The work of Mambesak are drawn up so as uses the western music composition technique refers on 20th century music. The first movement shaped a sonata form told about mythology and in the sight of the community towards the the birds who had earned the name bird of a paradise. Second movement shaped two part song form described about the romanticism side of the birds described in another atmosphere of full passion of love. Third movement shaped quassi rondo tells beauty dance of a bird in alluring the opposite sex being targeted from a hunter. The work is are kept rules apply, but it is possible for writer to enter elements new thriving now.
