Abstract: | This paper aims to show political of women’s niche in Ecclesia according to 1 Corinthians 11:8-12. This hermeneutic study is held using the socio-political approach to 1 Corinthians 11: 8-12. This paper sets out two main findings related with women’s niche in Christian community; women are as an aide and as God’s confidant. These two findings refer to the initial purpose of human creation and how women have special duties to carry out their roles. The role of women as an aide shows an equal relationship because as an aide, it means that women have the power to carry out their responsibilities. That role must be manifested as a tangible form that women declare themselves as part of God's confidant. God is intended to bring women to have a direct relationship with God. So that these two findings can strengthen the women’s niche in the Christian community and strengthen the understanding that God considers men and women as equal. |
