Abstract: The learning process will improve with using an appropriate teaching strategy. By using oral presentation only, the students will get abtract knowledge. The first grade students learning the materials in concrete stage. The teacher and students need a learning media as a tool to bridging the gap between abstract knowledge into concrete things. An interactive comics will be helpful for civics and Indonesian language learning. The interactive comics is about a descriptive story with civics learning materials as the theme. First-grade students are like to learning something with pictoral tools that help them illustrate the learning materials. it will helpful to reach their optimum abilities to understand the learning materials. This is the R&D (Research and Development) research with the goal to answer the needs of interactive comics for civics and Indonesian language learning media in first-grade at ‘SD Negeri Samirono 01’. This research used ADDIE (Analysis – Design – Develop – Implement – Evaluate) development model. Subjects in this research are first-grade students at ‘SD Negeri Samirono 01’. The data collection techniques used experts’ judgment, pre and post-test, and teacher evaluation. The learning media will be judge by the material and media expert to be reviewed and judge. The experts’ advice will be used as product development and revised based on their suggests. The teacher evaluation also will be used as the evaluation process, to see whether or not the product is good to be implement and help students understanding the learning materials. This research result is an interactive comics book product for first grade students at ‘SD Negeri Samirono 01’. The learning materials are about rules at home and school for civics and reading descriptive text for the Indonesian language. The interactive comics was appropriate to be implemented at the school. The learning media got appropriate category result from both experts’ with 69.23% for media and 74.28% for material experts’ judgment. Using the interactive comics also able to increase the students understanding levels. The post-test average grade is 78.65 which was bigger that the pre-test average grade 58.27. The learning media also got good comments from the classroom teacher. The interactive comics is able to help solve the problems.
