Implementasi Sistem Monitoring Server Jaringan Menggunakan Nagios dengan Telegram sebagai Push Notification pada SMK Telekomunikasi Tunas Harapan

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat Network Monitoring System yang memiliki fungsi memonitor sistem jaringan komputer di SMK Telekomunikasi Tunas Harapan. Nagios merupakan aplikasi open source untuk network monitoring dan memiliki banyak plugins yang digunakan untuk memaksimalkan proses monitoring. Fitur penting dalam Network Monitoring System adalah notifikasi alert, yaitu sistem pemberitahuan notifikasi kepada kontak network administrator jika sistem mendeteksi adanya gangguan pada server maupun service. Pemberitahuan notifikasi dirancang menggunakan aplikasi Telegram agar membantu network administrator lebih cepat merespon dan bertindak ketika terjadi kesalahan jaringan pada server. Aplikasi Telegram dipilih karena aplikasi ini gratis, ringan, multiplatform dan didukung dengan Bot API yang sangat lengkap dan terus berkembang. Hasil pengujian dari penelitian menunjukan keberhasilan mengirimkan pesan notifikasi status server melalui aplikasi Telegram kepada handphone network administrator.

In this research to make a Network Monitoring System that has a function to monitor computer network systems at SMK Telekomunikasi Tunas Harapan. Nagios is an open source application for network monitoring and has many plugins that can be used to maximize the monitoring. The important feature in the Network Monitoring System is notification alerts, that is notification systems to network administrator contacts when the system detects a disturbance to the host or service. Notification are designed using a Telegram application for helping network administrators as possible to respond ant act when the server in trouble. The Telegram application was chosen because this application is free, lightweight and multiplatform and can be supported by Bot API that very complete and can be grow up. The test results from this reasesrch, the success of sending server status notification messages via Telegram application to the network administrator's handphone.
