Doodle Notes sebagai Media dan Evaluasi Belajar Fisika untuk Materi Cermin Cekung

Abstract

Pelajaran fisika selalu diasosiasikan sebagai mata pelajaran yang sulit dipahami oleh siswa dan mengakibatkan kurangnya minat siswa dalam mencatat materi, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan memotivasi siswa untuk mencatat materi berupa doodle notes. Selain sebagai media pembelajaran, doodle notes digunakan untuk mengetahui pemahaman siswa terhadap materi cermin cekung. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 12 orang siswa kelas VIIIC SMP Kristen Satya Wacana. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan instrumen berupa lembar observasi, doodle notes yang dibuat oleh siswa, soal evaluasi, dan kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil observasi 87,5% dari keseluruhan siswa fokus dan tertarik dengan doodle notes yang diberikan. 58,3% siswa memilih jenis doodle notes pertama sebagai doodle notes yang menarik. Persentase antusiasme siswa untuk membuat doodle notes adalah sebesar 75%. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, sebanyak 92% siswa mendapat nilai ≥70 dengan nilai rata-rata kelas sebesar 77,04. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner, setiap indikator mendapatkan respon positif ≥70%. Hal tersebut memperlihatkan bahwa doodle notes untuk materi cahaya dan alat optik ini dapat digunakan sebagai media dan evaluasi belajar fisika. Model doodle notes ini, diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai referensi untuk materi fisika lainnya.

Physics lessons are slight to be always circulated as difficult subjects for students to understand and it can influence the students’ interest in taking note. Therefore, it needed an interesting learning media and motivate students to take note as doodle notes. Besides as a learning media, doodle notes is used for knowing students’ comprehension of concave mirror sub-topic. The participants of this research consist of 12 students from 8th-grade of SMP Kristen Satya Wacana. This research uses the ADDIE method, the instrument is observation paper, doodle notes is used by the students, evaluation sheet, and questionnaire. Based on observations 87, 5% of all students focus and are interested in the given doodle notes. The result shows that 58, 3 % of students chose the first type of interesting doodle notes. The percentage of enthusiasm students of doodle notes as much as 75 %. Based on the evaluation result, as much 92 % of students got ≥70 scores with average scores 77, 04. Based on the questionnaire result, all students gave positive respond ≥70% for each indicator. This issue showed that doodle notes of concave mirror sub-topic can be used as a media and evaluation of student physics learning.
