Hubungan antara Peran Gender dengan Fear Of Success pada Polisi Wanita

Abstract

Hubungan antara peran gender dan fear of success polisi wanita di Polres Salatiga diuji dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional dan diisi oleh 54 subjek. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan Attitude Toward Woman Scale untuk mengukur peran gender dan Fear of Success untuk mengukur fear of success. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara peran gender dan fear of success polisi wanita dengan koefisien korelasi -0,418 dan p = 0,001 (p = <0,05). Berdasarkan hasil, disimpulkan bahwa semakin tradisional peran gender, semakin tinggi fear of success dan sebaliknya. Semakin non-tradisional peran gender, semakin rendah fear of success.

The relation between gender role and fear of success of policewoman in Salatiga Police was tested in this study. The research uses quantitative with correlation method and was filled by 54 policewoman as the subject. The instrument of this study were used Attitude Toward Woman Scale to measure the gender role and Fear of Success to measure the fear of success. The results showed a significant negative relationship between gender role and fear of success of police woman with a correlation coefficient of -0,418 and p=0,001 (p=<0,05). Based on the result, it was concluded that the more traditional gender roles they have, the higher the fear of success and otherwise. The more non-tradisional gender roles they have, the lower the fear of success.
