Background:Gout arthritis (GA) is a systemic diseases caused by monosodium urate deposition in the joint, its signed by an increase of serum uric acid (hyperuricemia). Hyperuricemia related with metabolic syndrom, type II diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular. The gout incident in Minahasa ethnic is classified as higher than another ethnic in Indonesia. Objective: to discover the metbolic profile and its correlation with uric acid levels in patients gout arthritis in working area of belang distric health center. Method: The research used cross sectional design to 104 respondents that consist of 52 respondents with gout arthritis and 52 non-gout respondents. Anthropometric measurements, biochemical and clinical examinations were carried out on respondents. Bivariate data analysis used the Spearman test with the SPSS program at a 95% confidence level. Results: The average levels of uric acid, FGP, and cholesterol of respondents with gout arthritis included in above of normal value. The average levels of uric acid for men (11.70 mg / dL) and women (11.9 mg / dL) with gout were relatively high compared to non gout respondents. WHR (p = 0.003) and cholesterol level (p = 0.004) had a significant correlation with uric acid levels. Conclusion: There is a difference in the value of the metabolic profile between respondents with gout and non-gout respondents. The average level of uric acid is highest in respondents with gout compared to non-gout respondents. WHR and cholesterol levels showed a significant correlation with uric acid levels.
