Analisa dan Prediksi Hasil Pertandingan Liga Inggris Menggunakan Distribusi Poisson

Abstract

Liga Inggris merupakan salah satu kompetisi sepakbola yang popular di dunia. Liga inggris memiliki daya saing tinggi dikarenakan tidak selalu tim kuat yang menjadi juara. Dalam 10 tahun terakhir 4 tim menjuarai liga inggris akan tetapi tidak menjuarai secara beruntun. Hasil pertandingan sepakbola tidaklah pasti, kebutuhan akan data kekuatan calon lawan dari tim yang bertanding dibutuhkan untuk meraih kemenangan. Dibutuhkan pemodelan matematika dan komputasi untuk melakukan peramalan hasil pertandingan. Penelitian ini menerapkan disribusi poisson untuk meramalkan kemungkinan menang, seri, dan kalah hingga jumlah gol yang tercipta. Pertandingan antara tim Arsenal melawan Manchester United dan Manchester City melawan Liverpool digunakan sebagai pengujian dengan berdasar pada data-data hasil pertandingan sebelumnya. Berdasarkan peramalan musim 2019-2020, skor pertandingan Arsenal(Home) melawan Manchester United(Away) adalah 2-1 untuk kemenangan Arsenal. Persentase Arsenal menang 56.91%, seri 20.89% dan kalah 20.18% dan skor pertandingan Manchester City(Home) vs Liverpool(Away) dengan skor 1-0, persentase Manchester City menang 42.72%, seri 29.43%, dan kalah 27.66%.

English League is one of the popular football competitions in the world. English League has high competitiveness because a strong team is not always winning the league. In the last 10 years 4 teams have won the English League but they have not won it in a row. The result of football competition is uncertain, the necessity for the potential opponent's ability data is needed to pursue the winning. Mathematical modelling and computing are needed to predict the result of the match. This research applies Poisson distribution to predict the possibility of the win, draw, and lose up to the number of goals as well. The match between Arsenal against Manchester United and Manchester City against Liverpool was used as the examination based on the data of the previous match result. According to the prediction of the 2019-2020 season, the score of Arsenal(Home) match against Manchester United(Away) was 2-1 for Arsenal win. The probability for Arsenal to win is 56.91%, draw is 20.89%, and lose is 20.18% and the score of the match Manchester City(Home) againts Liverpool(Away) with a score of 1-0, the probability for Manchester City won 42.72%, the series 29.43%, and lost 27.66%.
