Penampilan Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Beberapa Genotip Gandum (Triticum Aestivum L.) di Dataran Rendah Tropis

Abstract

Penelitian tentang Penampilan Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Beberapa Genotip Gandum (Triticum aestivum L.) di Dataran Rendah Tropis telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 Juni 2011 sampai dengan 17 Oktober 2011, di PT. Sango Ceramics Indonesia, Jalan Raya Mangkang KM 14, Wonosari, Ngalian, Semarang, propinsi Jawa Tengah. Lokasi penelitian terletak pada ketinggian tempat ±13 m dpl. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui penampilan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman beberapa genotip gandum yang ditanam di dataran rendah tropis; 2) menentukan genotip gandum yang mampu memberikan hasil tertinggi di dataran rendah tropis. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 12 perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah 12 galur gandum yang berasal dari koleksi konsorsium gandum Indonesia yaitu OASIS/SKAUZ//4*BCN, HP 1744, LAJ3302/MO88, RABE/MO88, H-21, G-21, G-18, MENEMEN, BASRIBEY, ALIBEY, SELAYAR dan DEWATA. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa 1) Penampilan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman beberapa genotip gandum yang ditanam di dataran rendah tropis belum mampu memberikan hasil yang optimum jika dibandingkan dengan potensi genotip Dewata yang telah beradaptasi di wilayah tropis dataran tinggi, tetapi diharapkan pada penelitian selanjutnya yang ditanam di dataran rendah dapat memberikan hasil yang lebih baik. 2) Berdasarkan skor akhir maka genotip yang berpotensi menjadi varietas gandum dataran rendah tropis yaitu: P9 (BASRIBEY) dan P8 (MENEMEN)

The research about Growth and Yield Performance of Severals Wheat Genotype (Triticum aestivum L.) at tropical lowland have been conducted June 17, 2011 until October 17, 2011, was carried out at PT. Sango Ceramics Indonesia, Mangkang Highway 14, Wonosari, Ngalian, Semarang, Central Java. The research location is ± 13 meters above the sea level. The aims of these research were: 1) to know the growth and yield performance of severals wheat genotype at tropical lowland, 2) to determine the wheat genotype that able to provide the highest yields in the tropical lowland. The research used Randomized Block Design with twelve treatments and three replications. The treatments were 12 genotype wheat that comes from the collections of a consortium of Indonesian are OASIS/SKAUZ//4*BCN, HP 1744, LAJ3302/MO88, RABE/MO88, H-21, G-21, G-18, MENEMEN, BASRIBEY, ALIBEY, SELAYAR dan DEWATA. Conclusion of the research showed that 1) growth and yield performence of severals wheat genotype at tropical lowland have not been able to deliver optimum yield when compared the potential Dewata in the tropical highland, but further studies are expected to be planted in the lowland may provide better yield. 2) the wheat genotype that are potensial to be planty in lowfield are: P9 (BASRIBEY) and P8 (MENEMEN)
